So if I ordered one Tuesday would I have it in 2017? This is with a non Texas transaction?

Anyone have any idea what sort of wait there is?

Thanks

So do they have them in stock and can ship them as soon as the Form 3 clears?

And how good are they ?  I have heard very little in regards to weight and sound reduction..   (maybe i am not looking hard enough lol)

See where we go with the new POTUS, Congress, and the hearing safety act to try and get suppressors off the NFA list of items...

contact your Senators and Congressional Representative and push them to pass the bill, no more tax stamp, no more NFA BS for suppressors...

:)

THIS!

I would not be buying any can right now whatsoever, there is a high chance of this becoming law so why waste $200?

It's a long road to becoming law, but if it does I believe there is currently a provision to refund the $200 transfer tax to applicants who purchased a suppressor after October 22, 2015.

Regarding the wait for an out of state transfer, my last can was purchased from Capitol Armory on January 19, 2016. ATF cashed my check (Form 4 Trust) on April 19th. My local FFL called me yesterday to let me know the stamp had arrived... so it took nearly a year.

I use this and this to gauge how approvals are flowing.

I think 30 days on a Form 3 is very optimistic these days. Capitol Armory is currently reporting over 60 days for paper Form 3's.

I guess the OP's original question then becomes does LaRue use that ~60 days to manufacture the can with an assigned serial number, or is the shop lead time longer?

again you have set your expectations way too high.

while there is a chance this might become law, it is NOT very high probability at the moment. while i hope it does i am not holding my breath.

that being said, if it does become law i will have a hefty refund coming in for the 6 cans i bought since the October 22,2015 filing date as was mentioned before.

May be but I did tell him a year once it gets to his dealer so that should give him an idea on the wait time.

Funny how distributors can overnight them to dealers isn't it.

I like mine but only have a SiCo hybrid to compare it to. And umm a mask.

It's heavier than the SiCo can at twenty-something ounces but I run the Hybrid direct thread so it's not apples to apples. It sounds good and as a left handed shooter it didn't gas me out (at all and after shooting the Hybrid on a 9mm blow back, I was done in 5 rounds.) on either an 8" 300 SBR or my 16" 308 LaRue.

There is a bit more back pressure which is perfect on my 300 it is 100% on subsonics now. (No can it fed but didn't lock fully back.)

Sadly I don't have any direct comparisons as my Hybrid is on a 300 BO bolt action which is stupid quiet.

On the 308 it takes what is a bit of a beating to shoot under cover and makes it really plesant.

I ordered mine the week they came out and have had it a few months now.

Was wondering the same thing. Thinking of getting one but do I have to wait 6months to get to the sot and then 6 more months for tax stamp?
