I just noticed Trijicon's disclaimer on their website about availablity of the TA-01, TA-31, and TA-11 series of optics and how they would be on backorder as current production is going to military, police, and foreign contracts.

I'm curious if SWFA is seeing any supply issues as I'm planning on getting a TA-11E for my FAL and if I won't be able to get it until summer then I'll order it now.

Thanks!

We have the following on the shelf :

TA01B
TA01NSN
TA31
TA31A
TA31F

We have been having supply issues since 9-11-01, not only is Trijicon way behind but our inventory was also depleted with military and L.E. orders as well.  I just talked with Trijicon and they don't see a light at the end of the tunnel yet.  Might be several more months before decent numbers are available again.

Thanks for the heads up and confirmation.  I should have ordered last October or November when I first decided that I wanted one, but I had different budget priorities at the time.

The main reason I wanted the TA-11E was for the extra eye relief as this will be mounted on a FAL.  How does the TA-31 compare with regards to eye relief?

Thanks!

The TA11E has 2.4" of eye relief.

The TA31 has 1.5" of eye relief.

I guess I should have been more specific.  :-)  My main fear is recoil and having to live with a bad case of "Scope Nose", so I was wondering if 1.5" was enougn relief for a rifle that uses a .308 rather than a .223.

Thanks!

Personally I would opt for the 3.5x

That was my thinking as well.  Oh well, I'll give you a holler in a couple weeks and see what might be available.

Thanks!
