I have found the UBR to be the nearly perfect AR stock. The only drawback is the lack of ASAP or similar single point sling attachment. I've been attaching my MS2 sling to a push bottom QD attached to the forward QD socket, but it has been less than ideal. Is there a UBR compatible ASAP plate in the pipeline or should I just go with a CTR/ACS if I want to use a single point sling?

You can run a zip-tie through the front QD sling mounts and accomplish about the same thing.

Or remove the QD socket and tie a loop of 550 cord thru the hole. The 550 cord would be a bit stronger than the zip tie, and wouldn't become brittle over time or in cold weather. To remove the socket, remove the nut and screw, put a sling on a QD swivel in the socket, and use the sling to pull the socket out. it's tight, so it'll take some effort.

The UBR doesn't leave enough room for an endplate, so I doubt you'd be able to find one that works with an ASAP or other ambi single-point sling.

A few weeks ago a few of us posted pics with our own "improvised" attachment points for the ms2 and ubr.
