[ARCHIVED THREAD] - U.S. Property Lower

I just bought a Elite Car A4 and the lower is marked "U.S. property". I bought it becuase it was the only Elite Car A4 at the gunshow and I've been looking to buy one for a long time. What is the significance of the "U.S. Property" marking and is it a special edition or collectors item? This is my first AR type rifle (and hopefully not my last).

Why can't any RRA dealer sell these or directly from RRA?

It's an exclusive with Pete at Legal Transfers. In all other aspects, it is a standard lower receiver.

Not likely. There are quite a few out there and Pete has more made almost monthly.
If it were actually done as part of a US Govt contract, and marked accordingly,that would be a different story.
