| I was just curious if you guys use and/or recommend the use of loctite on the screws of the PRI flip up front sights when you build your SPR uppers. |
|
Ok thanks. Anything else that I should be applying loctite to as well as I put this thing together? I havent used it on any other AR builds of mine but Ive never dealt with FF tubes before so I dunno if that nut for that needs it as well. I wouldnt think so cuz it would make it kinda difficult to do a barrel swap. |
I glue everything, no reason to take these things apart until the barrels are shot out. |

I firmly believe in the proper use of loctite. It is unnecessary on the PRI front sight. However, if you choose to use it, degrease all the threads or it will do no good. It is also unnecessary on most properly torqued barrel nuts. ..........and I use loctite on almost everything. Just not needed there. |

Hmm.. Well, maybe I wont use any. Now that I think about it an SPR is something that you dont rapid fire and heat up much. I think I will just make sure everything is torqued properly and go from there.. Besides.. That loctite stuff is expensive. I will continue to ponder it for a while.. Thank you both for the input. |
