I am in need of a virgin F marked front sight base. I understand that Colt is not manufacturing these, although they may finish machine them. Is there any sources for one that came from Colt or are there others out there from someone else that would be an acceptable replacement (acceptable meaning, you really can’t tell the difference)? I see that BCM offers one and also retrorofles.com has ones listed. I have ordered BCM carry handles in the past that were identical to ones that came with Colt rifles, will the FSB be the same? I am not interested in using a take off and oversized pins at this time. |

The "milspec A2 style" descriptor is misleading. I do not believe that they are standard/A2 height FSBs, but rather F height. Finding someone at Apex to give an accurate/knowledgeable answer could prove impossible. Either way, the BCM are GTG as well. |
