I just wanted to say that I recently found Travis Boran's contact information on a site, and contacted him about Vortex's Military/Veteran/LEO discount. All I have to say is that I couldn't have been more satisfied by the service and responsiveness I received from Mr. Boran. To be honest, this is the first Vortex Optics product I have bought (besides the 'ol Strikefire); and I absolutely must say after this experience it will not be the last. I value customer service very highly, and I feel that Vortex is exceeding in all the areas I care about..service before the sale, and after (warranty work, from what I've read). Anyways, thanks to Travis and Vortex for their support of our Troops, Veterans, and LEOs. Hats off.

So, by the same reasoning, they dislike "civilians" as they don't offer them a discount?

Nope, not what I said. They offer great priced, quality optics (a discount if you ask me) to the general public. Those of us who have served in one capacity or another receive a discount as a token of gratitude from Vortex. Nothing in any train of normal logic would lead any person to believe that Vortex dislikes civilians.

Thanks luv. I didn't know about this program. Why would anyone be bothered or question a company who offered a military or LEO discount? Out of respect for the forum I will stop there.

I have no idea why somebody would do that. I'll just leave it there too. Out of respect for vortexs discount program I will not post the details here..it seems as if they do not want details disclosed publicly, which is an acceptable request. I am sure they will accommodate anyone who is interested and qualified, however, or you can PM me for the details and contact info for the gentleman at vortex.

I'm a civilian and I get a discount

I've had to contact Vortex once regarding my scope.  It was a great experience, the customer service rep talked to me like he was talking to a friend, not reading off a script.

Travis has also been a huge help to me.  I've been e-mailing him back and forth for over a year now.  I still haven't gotten around to ordering a Vortex scope, but his help and patience has been extremely appreciated.
