I am asking here, well, because this is the most active board and the most knowledgeable. (and Mark is always brutally honest)
I have seen the chatter and kind of interested in the FFP PST. I have a 16 OBR with a NF F1 but need a longer 6X24 for a bolt gun that is pretty much range only. I love the NF and now think that the FFP is not only a great idea but the only way it should be done unless it is a target only use. Anyway, my question....Is it a good compromise to save for the S&B, NF or USO. Mark already has all my money, haha |

I just got a sparc and although i haven't taken it out and shot with it yet, it seems to be very excellent quality, and it's only a 200$ red dot.
If the quality to price of the PST is the same, i would say it will be a damn nice scope. Just make sure you use a larue mount. I'm going to order one for my sparc as soon as i figure out for sure what height i want. |

I'm getting the 4-16X PST in FFP + MOA reticle this summer for my 6.8SPC. I have a chicom Leupy
knockoff on it currently and I can tell it's a POS. The Viper PST's look like "DA BOMB" and one smoking hot deal for the $$$$$. Vortex also has a fantastic warranty. Their glass is good as well... I have the 40-60X spotting scope and it's NICE! -ZA |
| I want a PST really badly. If they would jsut hurry up and release. I heard really good things about them from people who attended Shot Show 2010. I have a Leupold Mk4 3.5-10, M3 on a 700P and a Bushnell 6500 Elite Tact on the OBR. I'm curious how the Vortex Scopes compare to those. I may buy one for a R700P LTR. *crosses fingers* |
| I am pre ordered as well. Have had nothing but good stuff come from Vortex. I would say go with the PST what is it 1/4 the price of the S&B? Vortex produces quality and are very easy to reach and contact in their forum. If you want a new one, run it over with your truck and they'll send you a new one. Can't go wrong with that. |
