Greetings,

My RRA Elite has a 2-stage match trigger apparantly.  What is the difference between that and a standard trigger?  Is it the pressure required to fire?  Does it act differently under dry-fire conditions versus live-fire?

I haven't made it to the range yet:-(

Regards,

You have two distinctive stages to the trigger...if you choose to use it as such (you can just pull straight through in regular semi-auto fire and you probbaly won't notice anything other than a crisper, lighter trigger).
Th efirst stage is the take up, where you take up most of the travel and some of the weight.  Then you'll encounter a sort of hesitation inthe trigger.  You can hold "against" it, release and reset the works, or pull through to the second, or let-off" stage.  The second stage has very little travel, but the balance of the weight.  It fools your mind into thinking you have a very short, cisp trigger rather than the full travel and weight normally associate dwith an Ar-styl etrigger.  Total weight on a varmint/Pred. pursuit/Coyoye should be inthe neighborhood of 3.5-4 pounds, while the NMs and others in the line normally run 4.5-5 pounds.
