So, I'm trying to get my plan together. Right now I'm looking for and pricing mags.
Am I correct that these uppers run with either CMMG, and BDM mags? |

I can attest to the fact that my CMMG upper runs 100% using the older style (not X-Form) BDM glass-filled nylon mags. It looks as though those are no longer available, but by all accounts the X-form mags are better still. I'm not concerned about true last-round bolt hold open functionality, if you are you'll want to consider the CMMG mags as the BDM flavor doesn't support this feature (to the best of my knowledge).
Best prices I've found on all kinds of magazines is at 44mag dot com. Super fast standard shipping, as well. Every order I've placed has arrived in two days, and that's halfway across the country. Steve |

Since when have the BDM magazines not worked with the BHOA?
I actually just ordered the Echo kit to convert my Spikes upper, and ordered the BHOA and magazine conversions from MidwayUSA (could not find the spring/follower kits on CMMG's site). Last time I checked in, they could be converted with minimal effort. If this isn't the case, I'm returning the MidwayUSA order. I have 15 round BDM magazines due to living in New Jersey. CMMG doesn't put out a 15 round option, so I'll say the hell with the BHOA if I cannot do it... being I’m not losing the five rounds. |
