I got my micro dot sight and 5x magnifier on Saturday and today is the 1st chance I've had to play with them. With the magnifier on at the right angle I see what appears to be a hair or similar line in the lens from the 11 o'clock point towards the 5 o'clock direction. The red "dot" also looks more like a flying pheasant than a dot with the magnifier on. So what am I doing wrong to make it look so misshapen??? |

Did you adjust the focus of the magnifier before you mounted it? Can you get a clean, sharp focus (without the hair) just looking through it without the red dot? Is the dot misshapen when you look through it all by itself, or only when you're looking through the magnifier? Did you clean the lenses before mounting? Did the boxes appear damaged in any way, perhaps indicating they were subjected to a jar that might have cracked a lens? |
| The dot looks much better without the magnifier. The box's all looked good, shipping box was not damaged. Magnifier is very clear and focused. The hair like line only shows up if I look at the right angle. The dot get worse as the power is turned up. The lenses are clean. |

You now have a scope where there is going to be one eye position that gives you a complete sight picture. Turn the illumination way down. It will also take practice to train your eye to look through the optic at the target. When the dot is brighter you eye wants to look at it not the target. As you get more used to it you can turn it brighter. Marshall |
