What is the difference between the standard BCM midlength upper, and the BCM BFH midlength upper?

Is one more accurate than the other? Is it just a different way to make a barrel? school me on them. I am working on a SHTF style rifle, and and weighing the pros and cons of these uppers.

The BFH barrel is hammer forged.  Yes it is a different way of making a barrel, hammer forging has been the European method while we typically use button rifled barrels. For instance, every AK that I can think of has a HF barrel.  The selling points of HF on AR barrels is that they are more accurate and have a greater service life over a button rifled barrel.  Whether this is true has yet to be proven, at least from what I have seen.

I always thought that the AK series of rifles were considered inaccurate. Is it because of the round, or the barrel? Or are the arguments about AKs being inaccurate unfounded?

Besides the barrel, are there any differences between the two upper assemblies listed above?

AKs might be considered inaccurate because of the round (poor consistency and what not), loose tolerances built into the system, and the big & heavy piston slamming back and forth.  Not really the barrels fault.

Besides the HF barrel there is no other difference between the BFH and standard upper.
