| Magpul makes a very high quality part for many applications of the ar15 rifle and seem to be some of the best well thouht out and engineered parts available. Im curious as to why Magpul hasnt produced a VFG? |

To quote Dr. Drake:
"As for now we are not releasing any information on products that may or may not be in the works. We're always looking for new ways to improve on existing products and explore the boundaries of new ideas. Thanks." Although I think trading up from the Spike's aluminum VFG I just ordered would be worth it |

Why, when there's the LaRue FUG??? Hands down, that's the best one out there IMHO. Uh no. A major design weakness of the FUG is no provision for a flashlight pressure switch installation. To use one on a FUG requires either Velcro or rubber bands. Neither compare to the pocket molded into the Tango Down grip to accommodate the switch. When TD adopted a throw lever mount, perfection was achieved. In addition, another advantage is the ADM mount is tool less adjustment. FUG is far from "the best" available. |

VFG would be nice.
I'd also like to see; EOTech battery case/hood covers Aimpoint covers Color Matching coatings in a rattle can Bipod mounts Flashlight mounts AN/PEQ style light & laser combo (Visible & IR) ...and a FSB side sling mount that uses a QD swivel. ETA/ and a "build it yourself" section so we can get the MIAD/CTR/MBUS//MOE sets with the components we want only. This would save them polymer, and us money. |

TANGO DOWN already offers a QD vertical with that provision. For me, I didn't need it. |

Your original statement was a rather definitive proclamation of opinion, and I offered a counterpoint. "The Best There Is" is a rather broad brush to use, especially with the design weaknesses I detailed. |

For me, a Surefire in a LaRue offset mount, enabling the tailcap to be depressed with the left thumb is ideal. However, I'm sure not everyone likes such a setup. |

The lack of a pressure switch pocket does not take away from its function as a forward grip. I don't run pressure switches so for me its a non issue, and the best VFG on the market |

Magpul could take a KAC VFG, stamp their logo on it and charge double, and I as well as many would buy 'em up! ![]() There are many things we could do that with. The fact that we do not is what makes the Magpul name worth something. Look at the DVDs. we could have slapped our name on some instructor’s course and called it good. Instead we hand picked our presenters, qualified our production company, shot a complete test video for content and produced the whole thing at a reasonable cost to the consumer. If we release a VFG, it will our design and fill a particular mission. It will also be priced directly according to its cost to develop and produce. |
