Hi fellas,

I recently had my upper in your shop for some work and it was GREAT.  I am going to need to send it in for some more work!

Anyway, here's my current setup:
14.5" barrel with PWS FSC 556 brake perm. attached.
Daniel Defense Lite Rail 7.0"
FSB that I chopped a bit to give me a clear sight picture through an ACOG

What I want to end up with is a Daniel Defense 12" lite rail installed, replacing the 7" rail on the gun now.

Sooooooooo, I need to know if you can do the following:

1. My FSB isn't shaved enough at this point to fit under the lite rail.  Can you shave it down small enough to fit without removing the perm attached brake?

2. After doing that, can you replace the 7" lite rail with a 12" lite rail without removing the brake?  From what I can tell, it shouldn't be a problem.  Heck, I should be able to do it after the FSB is shaved small enough.  It looks as though the mounting screws just need to be removed, allowing the rail to slide off, while leaving the barrel nut and associated mounting hardware in place on the rifle.  This should allow the 12" rail to slide on and be bolted on to the existing barrel nut, correct?
