Can you tell me what the difference is between the Wylde chamber and the NATO 5.56 and the .223 chamber? What ammo is OK to shoot in it? |

Chamber dimensions are best expressed in terms of overall length of cartridge to reach the rifling using a standard which in this case is 223 brass loaded with a Sierra 80gr Match King bullet.
SAAMI .223 oal 2.410" Martin oal 2.442" Wylde oal 2.445" AMU oal 2.500" 5.56 Nato oal 2.550" In other words, .223 Winchester short throat, 5.56 NATO long throat, all others somewheres in between. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0BQY/is_9_51/ai_n14816186 As for what ammo to shoot in what, .223 chambers are typically designed for 55 grain bullets and lighter (although there are some 62gr loads out there). NATO is best with 62gr and heavier although the longer throat was originally designed to reduce spike pressures with hotter loads (thus 55gr NATO). This is the same principle Weatherby be used to attain maximum velocities without blowing up guns. Longer throats reduce spike pressures. |

I have a RRA NM upper i put on a RRA lower with 2 stage NM trigger. I guess you could call it a RRA NM but I bought upper and lower seperately 
In any case, I also discovered (nice surprise) that I have a case of Black Hills BLue Box (remanufactured) 77 gr Match HP ammo. 1) Is this safe for the Wylde chamber? Will it seat all the way into the chmaber? 2) Will the 1/8 barrel stabilize these bullets. Thanks |

Thanks 1 yes 2 yes But depending on your mags and the OAL on the Black Hills BLue Box (remanufactured) 77 gr Match HP ammo. It may not fit in your mag. |

Ahh, thanks. I'm gonna go out and measure the OAL of the ammo and try to put some in a mag. So long as it fits there then I should be good right?
I know the rifle is very accurate with Federal NM 69 gr stuff. First time I tried a reduced course match it shot less than 2 MOA with an inexperienced shooter (me) and some wind. Not sure I want to do that again. Maybe I'll bundle all of it up and put it on the EE. I just bought another toy today and it cost me about $2k
