| Before buying these, I read in their description that they were easy to trim down to whatever length you needed. After purchasing them and having a look, I don't see any obvious way of doing this. If someone could let me know what the best way of trimming them down would be, that'd be great. |

Depending on which ones you purchased there should be "squares" that you can cut to desired length, for example if its an 8 square cover cut it in half for two four square lengths or whatever configuration you desire. Yes, the ones that I have are the "square" ones. I'm just confused as to what method I should use to cut them? |

I used my pocketknife but you can use an exacto knife or anything sharp.

Ok, thnx mate. I think I'm going to designate one of my rail covers a "practice one" and see how it goes |

It's tough to screw up. I've cut dozens of them using a new razor blade slicing downward between the two ridges that separate the panels. Firm pressure and a slight sawing cuts it nice and smooth.
If you leave some "flash", shave the rough spot with the same razor blade. You can't even tell that the multiple panels I use to cover long rails or fill in the blank spot when I remove my light are not one long continuous panel. |
