Forgive me if someone (or even I) commented on this before but Search doesn't seem to be working ATM.

I have a M4LEP22 upper and It "looks" like the flash hider may be pinned.  Before I took a wrench to it to remove the gas block I wanted to make sure.  A guy a black rifle told me some where and some weren't.  The barrel from chamber to barrel threads is 16.5" so I don't know why it would be pinned.

It's not pinned. It would cost extra for that.
They are tight and if you have shot it much there's a good chance the lead has semi welded it on. I would heat it before trying to remove it.

I was wondering the same thing. Needing to remove the flash hider on my 22 upper to attach a can.
