Steve, Any chance the .458 SOCOM upper will be ready for X-mas? Thanks |

Probably not. In order to do larger scale production than has been done on these uppers in the past, we're actually making dedicated parts rather than modifying parts from 223/7.62 x 39 models to fit/function. That is taking longer than expected. That's one of the reasons we aren't taking pre-orders for the 458s. I really don't expect to see them until January at the earliest. Stay tuned for more info, as this forum and our web site (rockriverarms.com) will have the updates as they happen. Thanks. Steve/RRA |

I really haven't grouped mine (I have two of my own, one from Tony, one from Marty) or the shop uppers, but I get pretty close to point of aim out of all of them out to about two hundred yards, beyond which you start to see precipitous drop off. I've got a scope on one and A2 iron sights on the other. Most people we've had test firing here have been very impressed with the cartridge and its terminal effects, but haven't shot for groups. The more recoil sensitive types have still liked it, but hand it back after a couple of rounds. Steve/RRA |
