I'm trying to figure out what exactly foliage green looks like.  I think I remember looking at one set up in FG at a LGS maybe 6 months ago and it seemed almost grey.  I've seen a number of pictures that looks similar and claim to be FG, but then I also seen pictures where it looks VERY green, almost neon.  Has the color changed since it was first introduced or does it just look very different depending on how the picture is taken?  Problem is I really like they greyish look but hate the neon green look.

If I order it will I get this:

or this:

Both claim to be foliage green...

You're seeing the different lighting as captured with various cameras. Your best bet is to find some of the gear to look at in person and see how you like the color.

Foliage green in person looks like Air Force sage green (if you've seen the green boots worn now), or kinda like the green used in Army ACU's. It's a lighter, softer green. Looks more like whats in the second picture.

I agree, it is pretty close to the AF Sage Green.  I personally think it looks somewhere in between the two photos you put up but a little closer to the bottom one.

This is the same problem I'm having. Your first picture you posted looks awesome! The second picture... not so much. Just order a 15$ pmag and check it out.

My CAA stocks are almost faded OD compared to the grey I see online in many pictures. Krylon Light Olive is darker, but they are both green. When I set the stock on a Hunter green, it goes grey.

It's a weird color to photo, apparently, and maybe that's it's benefit.

I was kinda put off by the color originally but set up my last gun in FG and am very happy with it.  I am starting to like it more than OD.  It does seem to change color depending on lighting and surrounding colors.

Ok, I think I might go ahead and go with FG for now.  I've been reading up on dying parts and if I end up not liking it I can always experiment with dying it another color.
