http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_18/606285_YFS_bolts_included_with_Larue_acog_mount___.html jmn69 Posted: Today 10:40:24 AM PST My understanding is that Larue is American made in Texas and has the best mounts in the biz. I personally own 5 Larue mounts. My 5th and most recent mount is a mini acog mount ordered directly from Larue. I was very disappointed to see the mounting bolt which is YFS marked (Fang Sheng ) foreign made. I never noticed this before on my other Larue mounts. I am not happy they use these bolts to save a few cents on a $100+ mount. Flame away... |
| I would almost be sure that they ran out of US made hardware, and instead of holding up your order and every other of the million out, they used what they could get. Its not ideal no, but I think I rather still have my mount. Throw them away and get US made hardware. |

IIRC, it's been a while but I spent many years in the fastener business, 90% of the fasteners in the world are made in Taiwan.
It's not exactly easy to get 'Made in USA' screws, especially socket caps. Camcar-Textron was the last major US manufacturer, and when I got out of the business >10 years ago, they were off-shoring a large percentage of their manufacturing. Brazil mainly. Holo-krome, the other large US company, was sending production to Scotland. |

You shouldn't be surprised, I believe almost all the Scope Mounts, tactical Gear etc. are made in other Country. Another fine product Made in Communist China. http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/6/67064/2107675-not_sure_if_serious_2_super.jpg OP did say it was a Larue Mount.... Although I gotta wonder was it a knock off made for Airsoft??? It looks pretty legit to me. But I'm no expert
