The reliability haven't been too bad in mine. It's just that they are hell on thumbs after a day of shooting 500+ rounds. My Black Dog mags and CMMG mags work just fine, I see no need for Magpul to waste time and money on something like a 22 mag. For your thumbs heres the best 10 bucks you'll spend for your 22 AR Link |

22lr mags are a dime a dozen. Sure they are a bitch to load when almost full. What mag isn't. I have a V22 upper and use CCS mags. They are $35 each. Doubt Magpul could produce them for a small market for a cheaper price.
They are way too many different 22 uppers and styles of them to be competitive. They seem to have found their niche and are doing excellent at it. |
| thatd the great part. most uppers are and conversion kits are actually based of the cierner kit, and use a mag of the same configurations. if i am not mistaken, the dedicated "plastic" .22 ARs do use a different style .22 mag, but its the same mag across different brands (s&w, colt, etc.) i still say this is a potentially big market and that magpul should be able to undercut the price of the black dog mags, and at the same time make something that closely resembles the windowed pmags. |
