...does it take to "jam" up your gun, I put more that 550 rounds through my SS conversion and it did not slow down at all...

550 in one sitting, its got a bit higher round count than that

I'm confidant my guns will run longer than I can afford to feed them.

I just mean before you start getting FTF's and whatnot

It depends on a few things but I've run a conversion to nearly a thousand rounds before
it started to cause problems. The ammo you use makes the biggest difference. Some
are very dirty and some are reasonably clean....

If we're talking about one sitting, yes.  Over an extended time?  I dunno, I've never not cleaned my AR beyond 2-3k rounds, but never had issues even in the sand and dirt.  I'm satisfied my Glock would go damn near forever.

ETA: Like Dave said above, ammo makes a huge difference.  I generally shoot Federal and haven't had issues.  Every once in a while I'll come across TulAmmo or some such retched stuff, and it gets nasty quick.  But I've never taken it to the point of gumming up and causing issues.

I've shot Remington Subs that starting jamming in 15 rounds. Nasty stuff for an AR .22 Atchisson.

Its all about what ammo you put in it for sure. I had some White Box Winchester Expert from Wally Word or similar stuff one time that leaded up the barrels on a couple of my .22's in 200-300 rounds. That was while I was at the range one day. I had to take a rod and knock a big chunk of lead out of the barrel! Couldn't figure out why the gun was shooting so badly. Another pistol kept failing to function on the same stuff. I threw it away! Same goes for those "Wildcats" that Remington made. I had lots of problems.   But then I read where others loved them. Like they say, .22 is the most inconsistent stuff out there. You have to try it in YOUR gun to know what will work best.

You know, the CCI Mini Mags WILL NOT run in my main .22LR Evolution upper, but EVERYTHING else does... INCLUDING Remington GB's. :P

Anyway, how long it will run depends on what kind of ammo your using in it and how clean/dirty it is.
