The idea that all 10 fingers must be perfect scores on a fingerprint card is inaccurate. The NFA or, any other government agency does not need all 10 to positively identity someone. A thumb print is sufficient. Or even an index or whatever. The other 9 just further confirms it. Black ink prints do sometimes provide more clarity and may 'satisfy' someone looking at it and they will just 'accept' it. Unfortunately, it's a relative thing but if you were fingerprinted 10 years ago, your fingerprints are the same unless theres an injury to a finger and even then, you still have not changed your idenity. I wish government would get over it. Texas finally did, with the LTC system. Once your prints are on file, you never have to be 'fingerprinted' again. They use the ones on file. The federal government is more interested in preserving federal jobs and democrat votes. Imagine that. |
