Before I spend the money, can a 1" scope ring be used in conjunction with the m-3 mount? Thanks in advance.

If I put the m-3 light on my M-4 Oval style handguards at the 2 or 10 position, is there a spot for the ribs of the handguard on the mount? Or will I have to sand a rib or two down. Can a cut be made in the mount to accomodate the ribs? Thanks.

The mount has rib cuts already so it will lay flush, it's just a matter of drilling two small holes.
