Hi.  I have very much looked forward to the new strikefire that came in recently.

My only concern is how the green dot looks compared to the red.  The red dot is crisp and appears singular in nature (only one clear dot).  The green however is not crisp and appears as a number of smaller dots in a conglomeration.

I dont think it is me since the red looks fine.

Is it a problem with the optic?

Thanks

Call Vortex and ask them. They are easy to talk to and even easier to deal with if there is a problem. They are by far the best in the business when it comes to customer service.

Thank you for reaching out to us and sorry to hear you are having some issues with your Strikefire. This is something we hear about a lot and in about every case, this is being caused by some sort of astygmatism in the user's eye. Since the red and green dots are emitted from the same diode, the difference must be coming from the way your eye is perceiving each color. The way to test this is to take a picture of the dot with a camera. If the dot appears normal in the picture, that is a good way to know that this due to some sort of astygmatism issue and not the red dot unit. If at any point, you still have doubts and would like to have the unit looked at, please feel free to call customer care. They would be happy to assist you with getting the red dot looked at. Their number is 800-426-0048 ext. 4. Thanks again and please let me know if there's anything else we can do for you.

Thanks for the reply and the help.  your suggestion was spot on and the photos I took did indeed show a clear dot with both the red and green setting.
