I'm also curious as to my order # 27298 on December 7.  Not being impatient or anything.  I just like to be in the know about the process, times, and such when I'm waiting for something.....especially something I'm so excited about receiving.

Also CockedandLocked, I hope this post is fine.  I figured it would be better to post here than to start another thread and use up more bandwidth.  If it's a problem just let me know and I can take that route and you can delete this.

Man, I hope you guys all ordered 223 parts. I'm still waiting on my 458 socom order from Mar.

Waiting sucks. But it's ok when you know you're getting the best when it does get there.

Ordered a complete 6.8 in first week on Dec.  I'm being told it should arrive end of Jan.  This will be my first AR and I can't wait!

I'll post here as well.

Invoice # 28150 placed on 12-24-07. I know it was placed on Chirstmas Eve, but I hope I'm not going to have to wait over a week for a Side Sling Swivel to ship.

For questions about specific orders, your best bet is to call our Sales/Cust. Service Department directly.  You can get them between 8 and 4, CST, M-F (although we are closed for the holidays until Wednesday 2 jan. 2008).

I did the exact same thing 2 weeks ago(at the 5 week anniversary of my order).

I was planning to call this week,(today starting week 7) to find out what information I need from the dealer I bought my rifle from. I do not have the patience to be on the phone all day and would like to get some sort of legitimate status information.

So, my question is: What information should I have in hand from my dealer so that I can call and answer any and all the questions the Customer Service people will have for me when looking up my order status.

It was just an elite car a4 with 2 changes, a chome lined barrel, and a dominator 2 mount.

Thanks very much in advance!

We were gone for the holidays, and right now the phones are running in bursts.  A couple of minutes ago, they were all busy.  Right now, only one of nine lines is in use.  Please use our toll free number (866-980-7625) so you aren't racking up charges against yourself if you do end up on hold.  You should never be on holds for more than a few minutes without someone coming back and asking if you want to remain on hold, unless you're already with one of the salespeople and they're looking for your order info, checking withthe armorers, etc...
If it is an order through a dealer, it's best to have the dealer call in.
If the dealer is having you do it for him, and doesn't mind your having his pricing information, you'll need the dealer's actual FFL business name and zip code, date of his order to us, how the order was given to us (on-line, mailed-in, called-n, etc...), any supporting order numbers (salesorder number, purchase order number, web order number, etc...)...
Rifles have been running approximately 8-12 weeks for more than a year.  We sometimes get them out sooner, but that has been the general statement of leadtime for a long time.

Just an update. My dealer called for me on 1/2/08 and was told 2-3 weeks. My rifle actually arrived today. It looks great I cant wait to shoot it, just wanted to get it home tonight and fondle it. Took 3 days less then 8 weeks for an elite car a4 with chrome lined barrel and a dominator 2 mount, for anyone who is tring to get a feel for how long their order will be.

Any of you guys tried calling in?  I did today and got on the line with a woman in sales after being on hold for 20 minutes.  She said that they listed a 6-8 week time typical on the upper.  Then she said based on that it should be another few weeks.  Kind of rediculous that she couldn't find any real info on a shipping time other than the often unaccurate, generic "liability" time for an upper.  I was under the assumption that they would be able to give me a little more input on the subject.

I would not suggest calling the customer support that is suggested my moderator, they were far from helpful when i called today and simply stated 4-8 weeks and nothing more. No thanks for being patient, no expected shipping date. Nothing i was very dissapointed.

Was it a woman you talked to?  If it was I assume it was the one I talked to.  Maybe it's just that person and not all the sales people.  It seemed to me like some people were getting some good detailed responses earlier.

I don't like waiting, especially for toys.  I've got a 9mm factory SBR on order (11-3-07).  I have to wait for Rock River to build it, then for the ATF to do their stuff, and then, after my dealer actually gets the rifle, I have to wait for the Form 4 to be approved.  I know it will be worth the wait and I was told to expect a long wait to begin with, so I'm trying my best to chill out.

Steve,

I called RRA yesterday to see where my order stood, and was told by customer service that they couldn't tell me anything based upon my RRA order number and I would have to have the dealer call in.

Say what?

I had already tried the dealer, and all I could get out of him was "It's not in yet. I'll call when it comes in."

To be perfectly honest, this kind of response from one of your authorized dealers and the fact that customer service couldn't track my order based upon your own order number left me kind of cold.

Normally we don't share the dealer's order info with anyone but the dealer...that's the ethical way to do business and why I keep suggesting going through the dealer.  In the case of a dealer who doesn't want to make that effort, I can try to help you out, but I'll need you to IM me some info.  Who the dealer is (Business name and zip code), exactly what was ordered, and approximately when it was ordered.  Depending on what number you have (web transaction/sales order/etc...), it may or may not help me, but I'll take it too and try to reference/cross reference it.
Thanks.

I just got the call, late last week, that the .458 upper that I ordered was available to ship. Yippeeeee, Yahoooo!

I got all excited, danced a jig, and nearly wet myself with glee..... then I played back in my head what she had just said, and I asked.....did you say that the upper I ordered was ready to ship??? She said, "yeah, the upper you ordered in June." It was then I realized that in late August, when I called to check on the order that I had placed for a .458 complete rifle in June, that I had made the ~mistake~ of making a couple of changes (switched to a Vortex flash hider, & upgraded to a green Hogue forend and grip) to my order.

Obviously, when they added the upgrades to the order,  they inadvertently changed the order into an upper instead of a complete rifle.

I can understand making a mistake on an order change, its really NOT a big deal, but what got me was that she then went on to say, (somewhat snottily) "I'll put it in as a complete rifle, but I have NO idea when it will be ready to ship, we are shipping out ALL the uppers first, THEN, once those are shipped, we will begin assembling the complete rifles."

I knew at the time that what she had said was a complete falsehood, (PLENTY of complete rifles have ALREADY shipped!) so I made her repeat it, to make sure I understood what she was saying. Then I just shook my head and said that I'd be happy to wait however long it took for RRA to make up what I wanted, and that I was sorry for the miscommunication.

I was, however, less than impressed with her demeanor AND the cock & bull story that she fabricated to try to get me to accept a product that I did not want.....

Not to mention the fact that I am a wee bit disappointed to find myself now waiting for ALL the uppers to be shipped before they will start manufacturing any complete rifles....

whatever.....

AGAIN I SAY: Yippeeeeeee, Yahooooo, Yeeeeehaaaaaaw!!!!

My patience has paid off!!!!! (and VERY quickly too, I might add!) I just got a phone call from a very upbeat, cordial, and PERSONABLE lady from RRA!!! (IIRC, Yolanda?? I had a store full of customers at the time so I couldn't chit-chat and get to know her better.... )

My .458 complete rifle has officially been assembled, and I suspect it will ship today or tomorrow! (It sure didn't take long to get ALL those uppers completed and shipped!  )

I KNOW that you are good, Steve, but if you had anything to do with getting my .458 out the door THIS fast, I am WAY beyond impressed!

If you helped the process along Steve, you have my undying gratitude! If it was resolved through normal channels, then GRATZ to RRA on a system that can resolve a miscommunication in a VERY timely fashion!

Now, about that LAR-8 that I've had on order since April......

Believe it or not, Ulanda is the same woman you talked to previously.  She took the bull by the horns and got it all straightened out for you and expedited the build.  Whan I followed up this morning, it had already been taken care of.
The plan right now is for it to ship out today.

I thought it sounded like the same lady......

I'm thinking she must have had a looooooong day when she called me the first time, 'cuz it was right at 6:00 here, making it 5:00 in RRA-land. I have definitely had long days before, that's why I didn't get cranky with her over my disappointment, AND why I waited a few days to post about it....

Please pass along my apologies for thinking the worst, and my THANKS for making it right! I owe her one, fer sher!

ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL!!!!

You do aim to please, don't ya Steve.

Only 2 1/2 days after I finally get around to asking, you announce that the LAR-8's will commence shipping, and it just so happens that the one I have on on order is a standard A4 middy!

/kicks self for not asking Steve for help with my LAR-8 order back in June.....
