Just picked up a strike eagle. So far loving everything about it except for 1 thing.

Is it normal for the field of view to be washed out in red with the brightness higher?

Granted I have not taken it to the range yet, just farting around with it in the house.

I would imagine it is not as noticeable in the daylight.

Greetings Devilman13xx - I would take it out to the range and only use the illumination at the brightness setting that you need. Indoors, it will wash out/tint the field of view red if the illumination is too high.
I hope this helps -
