I have a 2004 model 6920. I was wanting to know how hard or easy it is, and what is involved with swapping out the upper with a mid length upper, for when I shoot 3-gun? Also is there a recommended single stage trigger for this 6920?  If ther eis a way to use the Colt lower it could save me some money.

Thanks in advance.

My LE6920 was built in Sep 2004. Consequently, it has a standard military style pushpin, like this:

Does yours look like this too? If so, it will accept any standard upper-Colt or otherwise

If you want a good single stage trigger for 3-gun the Accuracy Speaks is excellent. Be sure to specify that you want the "large pin" Colt version (it will be the .170 version-not the .155).
