trying to budget for a ar pistol, so if the website shows a blem lower for 59.99 and the reg price is 119.99 should I expect to pay
the 119.99 if I walk in the store? |
| Nine times out ten, yes. They have signs at their stores stating that "web prices are for internet purchases only". Sometimes you might come across a sale going at one of the stores. Do a in store pickup if you are able to. I live in Columbia, and I still purchased my lower, upper and LPK online and did a in store pickup. In early March, the Fernandina Store had a sale on the blemished lowers for $59. Your better off buying online for the major parts of your weapon. |

Oh good god do they rape you in taxes. Its horrible. Keep in mind they are only collecting the TAX that is required by the Govt. If they don't collect the tax then they will have to pay the tax for you out of their profit. If that does not set well with you, then get the tax laws changed in your area, but don't blame PSA for this. Have a good day! Ron |
| I wasn't blaming PSA, when I said "they" I should have been more specific and blamed City of Columbia, Richland County, South Carolina Legislature, and the U.S. Government. I felt "they" was easier and quicker to type. However, I am in the military and my home of record is not South Carolina, so I can't vote in SC in an attempt to have the tax policies changed. But, I promise you, that i do vote in my home state every chance I get. |

If the stores have blem lowers, they will be $59.99. If they don't have blems, then yes, you're going to pay more. Regular price is for a non-blem. Thus the price difference. Doesn't seem all that complicated. |
| This is why i dont mind paying the $7-$15 price for postage psa charges because they dont charge tax out of state. I feel bad for all of you that are local to the store, your taxes are crazy down there. I remember paying 10% on stuff i purchased in myrtle beach and i even think food was taxed. |

They have stripped lowers for $49.99 on the website AND the Farrow and Fernandina stores are matching the price?!?!?! No way, I can't have seen what I saw. Could it mean.....the Greenville store AND the Beaufort store matching that deal as well?!?!?!
And for the record it's less than 15 miles from the Fernandina store to the Farrow road store so if it's taking you 40 minutes you either need to quit driving during rush hour or take the car out of reverse, turn the car around, and put it in drive. Hell, I can drive from the Fernandina store and be at the Greenville store in just over an hour and that's considerably further away. |

The Fernadina store had blemished safe/fire lowers for $59 last Saturday. Now they are on sale online today for $49, . I could not find any blemishers on the one that followed me home.
Out the door it was about $65 including tax, no shipping or FFL transfer fee if I had ti shipped to me. I am in the Charleston area, so I was happy that I passed through at the right time. |

Hmmm....you don't think that's because it's easier to keep a 900sq ft store stocked versus a 13000sq ft store, do ya? Not to mention the Fernandina store gets more than double the traffic. It's easier to keep a change purse full than it is a banlk vault. |

I agree, The farrow road store is by far better stocked on AR parts. Unless the Fernandina store is hiding them. If you want hunting supplys or to use the range, the Fernandina store is the place to go. As for AR parts then Farrow rd store is the place to be, hands down. |

I know for a fact when I walked into the Fernandina store and then the Farrow store, they each had signs advertising blem lowers for $49.99. I also know for a fact that when I called the Greenville and Beaufort stores to see if they had them for the same price, they did. I wasn't getting "pissy" at all. You stated I should inquire about the issue...I did...I stated my findings. The part where I commented on your "time table" for traveling from the Fernandina store to the Farrow store wasn't being "pissy" either. That was simply stating facts. I've found that, aside from the "daily deals" (which come and go so fast I can't imagine trying to keep up with them in the stores), if the website is running a sale and the stores have the same product in-stock, they've matched the price...at least that's what I've experienced. Granted, given the stores can't possibly stock every item that is on the website, the stores aren't always going to be able to do that but I've found when they can, the do. Nothing more, nothing less. |
thanks for the deal
