Well guys we have gotten a tool we have been really asking for. It is a permanent file space on a separate ARFCOM server where we can store FAQs, fiction, and even important threads. The only limitation is that it must be copied and pasted into the file. Here's a couple examples. Let me know in this thread if you can't access it. Bob Basics BOB BASICS Lights Out Lights Out Link On, Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs I have tacked this thread for your input as to what should be in this file. We can then keep a copy in an announcement file for reference by our readers. You can recommend thread posts, volunteer to do techinical papers, or recommend subject matter for technical posts. I will be asking some of you for your help directly via IM. Have patience as we populate this system but I have little doubt it will be a very valuable tool for the forum. Tj |
Yes, I've been working on getting this resource up and going and checking how to access it. Over the next few weeks I hope to populate it like a surival reference guide divided by topic classificaions with the help of the members. Tj |

The BOB Basics link is broken and just redirects to the home page of AR15.com . This is a great idea, I've seen it used by several other forumns here as well. The other links you listed work as advertised. |
Should be working now. UPDATE I am currently working on four new page adds, Water FAQ, Filters, Risk Assesment, and Survival Links. Thanks for everyones help and keep the ideas coming. Tj |

HOpe im not steppin on any toes here, but ive gone through and created a list of all sorts of useful websites that everyone could find helpful. Everything from military surplus, first aid, food/storage, water/storage, general SHTF supplies, articles, plus lots more. If ya got a link you want me to add i will....just IM me with it. I couldn't get in touch with Vector Joe to ask permission to steal his comms FAQ. But since he borrowed liberally, I doubt he would mind lending. I put the FAQ up on survivalistwiki.com. If any HAM gurus notice anything wrong, feel free to correct it. |
