I have had many high coyote count nights in my coyote hunting career. However, I don't believe I have ever shot 21 coyotes in 5 stands. This stretch of coyotes went quad, triple, quint, quad, and quint. This was a pretty amazing stretch of stands. The other part of the night that made this night memorable was the temp hovered between -15 and -17° f most of the night with windchills in the -33° range. Many people say the colder the better. However, there gets a point in every climate where it just gets too cold and coyotes will shutdown and wait for better conditions. On this night, it had to be close but was still warm enough to keep coyotes moving. It was a test on me and my equipment and all passed.
