Thanks guys, that definitely looks like the one. I've seen several sites now that say it only attacks black locust. I wonder why those oak tops were covered in them. I wasn't specifically looking at first, but I didn't notice them on any other types of tree tops laying on the ground. IIRC, there are some stands of locust trees in that part of the woods though. |
