I am looking to purchase a new 3 day pack. I have narrowed it down to 4 models.

1. Camelbak Motherload
2. Maxpedition Vulture 2
3. Spec-Ops T.H.E. Pak
4. Eagle AIII Assault Pack

Does anyone have any experience with any of these packs, as far as their durability, features, comfort, ect. All four are in my price range ($100 - $150) and size (2000 to 2500 cu. in.). Thanks for any info.

there is a 11 page tacked thread in the Tactical gear forum ( under Armory ) that talks about all of these, so read through that for more info, it might help you narrow it down

I have a motherlode and used to have an A3. They are very similar. The motherlode has some internal dividers and interior pouches for things like pens and a gps. The A3 does not have anything like that. More of the camelbak is covered with molle loops, although I rarely used them.

You can get a plastic sheet with one aluminum stay to stiffen up the A3, the same sheet can be trimmed and put in the motherlode. I have no experience with the BFM but it comes standard with some kind of stiffening sheet and is a little bigger, that might be worth looking at.

I have no experience with the other two packs you mention.

I own an Eagle A-III MOLLE and a newer Motherlode. I also owned the earlier Motherlodes.

What Aimless says is accurate in that the two packs are very similar. However, I found the ML to be much more comfortable and easier to organize. The newer models have a stiff insert similar to the A-III's that makes it even more comfortable than the original, as well as more PALS webbing all over.

The ML gets my vote, as it usually does when these questions pop up.

I have no experience with the other packs you list.

BTW, the BFM is simply the ML with three external pouches attached. That's it.
