Where can one purchase soft body armor, such as an IBA, and plates?

Are these restricted items in the US?

There may be some states where they are restricted, I don't know. You can purchase them at any number of online retailers. Sometimes Cheaper than dirt.com has set ups, I've seen them at Galls.com and LAPolicegear.com also.

CTD makes a nice plate carrier for 30-40 bucks that most reviews paint just as good as the higher dollar stuff. I have one and like it ok, I don't have any plans to ditch it for tactical taylor or Eagle or anything like that.

You may still be out of luck. IIRC even those vendors who sell to the civilian market may be prohibited from shipping OCONUS due to Dept. of State export retsrictions.

I'm in the US. I just dig having something weird under my ARF-Name.
