OK guys, I know there's been dozens of threads on vests and I have kind of fell into getting one.  I wasn't really looking, just kind of found one for a song kind of thing.

Other than "The great Zombie Invasion" or "WWIII" just what uses do I have for it?

I'm not an LEO.  Do not have family close by that would call me to come rescue them.  Don't live in a high crime area so won't really know when I would need to have it on.  I'm old enough now I don't really associate with folks who get in trouble or cause trouble.

Care to share you survival tips for a vest?

i've had a concealable IIIA since 1999 and have worn it once.

nice to have, but it's mainly a psychological thing.  save your money.

You did good. It can't hurt to have it. Especially, if it was bought right.

It would be nice to have one I'd probably keep it in my car. Nice to have if things get hairy for whatever reason while you are out and about

I used to put multiple layers of underpants on when I knew I would be getting a wooping from my dad,  It still hurt like hell
