How far apart should I plant my bush beans.  They are Contender variety and the package says 4" apart.
Is this retarded or what?  I planted 2 already about 12" apart and have 4 more getting ready to see the
real sun!

4-6 inches between plants are about right, but it all depends on how far your rows are apart.  If you are doing 1-2 foot rows, then you want the extra distance between plants.  If you are doing 2-3 foot rows , the 4-6 inches should be fine, as they will grow out.

I plant 9 per sq ft in my raised beds.  If you're going in the ground, follow the package instructions or info from your local ag department.

Same here, but they are not doing as well as the pole beans.

In rows I plant mine 2-3" apart or where ever they land in the trench. I plant the rows 8-9" apart depending on how good my eyesight is when I'm cutting the rows. You might say I do concentrated planting.

I use my inlaws seeder and it plants them probably close to that and I double row them on my hills and the rows are about 4-6" apart. I plant Blue lake and Roma bush beans.
