I was in my local army surplus store Saturday when I spotted this cool container. The shop owner said it was for hauling land mines. It's made from heavy gage steel and the thick lid has a seal and heavy duty clamp ring. Even has the cool pressure relief valve and humidity indicator, all for only $20. The mere sight of it makes me want to fill it with something and bury it If your army-navy guy carries them, I highly recommend it.

It will hold ten .30 cal ammo cans or a boat load of MRE's and canned food.

It looked a lot smaller in the first pic!   The cans really put it in perspective.

Nice find.  That's a great "can".  Given the prices of ammo cans, I'd say you got a good deal on it, too.

Yep, and that's exactly why I got it. If I can devise a handy lock, it will be good for security. The safe is full. Brass, copper and lead are now precious metals, you know!

Nice CAN man!!

Looks like a candidate for a lot of stuff.
You could turn it into a wash basin, huge boiling pot, water cistern, porrtable firepit, small woodstove,
the list goes on.

$20 seems like a fair price since it seals and is so large.

Good grab.
