I bought a cooking pot for camping that has a copper bottom with no liner, and haven't used it yet. I've been told that using it over heat can cause poison to leech out of the metal. Can anyone tell me whether or not there is any truth in this.

Direct high temps can cause a copper-bottom pot to warp.

That is bull shit my family has used them for yrs. to make moon shine,if that were true we would be dead.
