There are a ton of places on line that can help you: Start here Eham QRZ AC5V and thats just the tip of the iceberg. Your best bet is to visit a local club and meet some people and get some one on one instruction. Are you in Oklahoma or still in the Navy? |

I utilized with Great Success (for my General) Ham Test Online
For $20 you get the "Technician" study package-that's less than a study manual. I could go on, but you can determine for yourself if this is something you're interested in. I plan to use the site when I begin studying for my Extra. YMMV |

Find a club and an 'Elmer' to help you with studying, setting up gear, and just general comeradere. The guys in my group have gone so far as to 'loan' me extra equipment to 'test' or evaluate before buying an expensive piece of gear. Joe |
