Looking to get an aluminum boat. It will serve as a duck boat and a fishing boat. Looking to buy used off marketplace. Budget is 2500. I used to be a boat mechanic, so working on something isn’t the worst for me. I will mainly use the boat for draw hunts in flooded corn, and marshes. I would like to use it for fishing also. Nothing crazy, just scooting around anchor bay (lake st Clair Michigan) and going after some walleye or perch. What do you guys think? Can I pull that off in a v hull? Or should I do a modified v hull |

Sorry for the delay in responding. Looking for a much cheaper boat. Tomorrow I pick up a 14’ Montgomery ward V boat. 20hp 2 stroke $1400. Already painted up. Already has two chairs. Just gotta toss decoys in her. Next Saturday I’m going to take it to the local sandbar with my babe, toss out some chairs and a cooler. Enjoy the sun a bit. |

The bay can get rough when the wind picks up. I won’t ever be in the middle of the bay. I’ll stay a few hundred yards off land at all times. I can always run to land and sit through some rough stuff. And I’ll never go out in terrible weather. |

Attached File Added some bling. Also had to replace Bow light Stern light One chair (purely for my comfort) Safety chains (I swear they had the chain for holding a chandelier on it, very thin. Very soft) Added lines for it (dock line, anchor, trailer winch) This is gonna be great |
