What is a good pre-made first aid kids to buy ?

Or a link to an easy to assemble one ?

I am looking for something small to have in the range bag, or to take on day hikes.

I'm partial to the USGI individual first aid kits. They turn up at gun shows, flea markets and Ebay . The most I've paid for an effectively complete one was $25.00. All I then add is some bigger band-aids and betadine wipes.

I completely forgot about those folks.

I had one of their smaller kits given to me. Not bad at all, and it fits in a coat pocket. I like having a rigid container, but that green boil is a lot more visible than a red nylon case.

Their dental kit is worth looking at as well. Breaking a tooth or loosing a filling can be pretty damn unplesant.

+1 for the Adventure Medical Kits. I have one of their ultralight .5 kits in my GHB. The outer nylon bag had enough extra space for me to add chap-stick, iodine tablets, and a few hand-warmer packets with room to spare. However, I do not have a great deal of faith in the Aloksak waterproof bag. It seems like every other time I open the outer nylon bag, the Aloksak has opened while shifting around inside my pack. YMMV
