So the other day I had a golf outing and decided to get some practice in before tee off at the range. One problem. I didn't have a golf glove... so I got a nasty blister on my finger.

No problem, I'm prepared for armageddon right? I go to the tactical urban survival vehicle (TUSV) and open up my slightly smaller GHB and find: change of clothes, food, water, poncho, light, radio, zip ties, lighter, etc. but no first aid kit.

I open another, smaller BOB - again, lots of camping gear and food, but zero band-aids.

No problem, I was a Scout, I can improvise. I had napkins...just needed tape - duct tape could do nicely.

No duct tape. I tear the vehicle apart. No !@#%^& duct tape.

And no band aids.

So I tear open a survival bottle and pull out a tiny chinese made band-aid and cover the bloodly wound, cursing myself for taking out the first aid kits I had to deal with minor scrapes and bruses of the kids without putting them back.

No glove = no blister, so lack of proper preparations equal need for first aid...no first aid also reveals lack of other basic tool....

A great part of stuff in a FAK will never go bad.  Try on ebay getting "trauma bag refill."  They are noot expensive nad has a whole bunch of stuff that is essential.

As for the OP's problem, go buy a box of assorted band-aids in put them in all your bags/vehicles...

I'm not allowed to leave the house without a first aid kit in my car.  My wife is a HUGE proponent of having one on hand at all times and knowing what to do with it.  She's in health care and really takes this seriously.  She thinks my GHB is a bit extreme but she carries almost the same load in her vehicle, go figure.

I think Campmoor sells FAK refills.... all the good stuff without the bag/box/whatever.

They were cheap enough I bought a couple and leave them as is in the compartments in all the vehicles.

I also have FAKs, but these are cheap supplements.
