I'm toying with the idea of buying a crossbow to play with in the backyard. I don't hunt, so I don't need anything fancy, and am thinking about the Barnett Jackal.

As close to $300 as I can get, but would go to $400 if I had to.
Like I said, I don't hunt, and am looking for something to use in the back yard (40 yards deep).

I think the Jackal would be about perfect for what you want to do.
