Anyone else use FreeCycle?  I'm finding that I'm saving a ton of money not having to buy new clothes for the baby.  Toddlers outgrow clothes before they wear them out, and most of the stuff looks new.

DH and I also scored about two winter's worth of free firewood for the wood stove - oak and ash, all seasoned and ready to go.  We just had to bring it home and rent a wood splitter for a weekend.  So, for $75 and a little sweat equity we've got our home heated for the next two winters.

That leaves us money for our other preps.

You might also want to look at a local group for Cheapcycle. We have a local Freecycles, a local Cheapcycle, and obviously a local Craigslist. All good sources if you have time to filter the crap.
