I don't have any experience with these things. What is the sensitivity generally in terms of range? In other words, how close does movement need to be to trigger a typical camera?
The reason I'm asking is actually a bit unconventional. I saw a camera one day on the property line along my neighbors' property and the next property over. A couple weeks ago I saw the guy it apparently belongs to. He told me he has two of them and he's put both of them on my neighbors' place, but I have no idea where he moved them to on the neighbors' property. I'll probably notice one if I'm close to it, but frankly, I don't really want my picture taken if I'm out for a walk. It kind of pisses me off that he's putting those cameras up really. I met the guy years back, he's a liar and a dirtbag. He doesn't have permission to put those cameras up, but realistically while the neighbors' don't allow any typical hunting on their property, they probably wouldn't have much of a problem with him putting up cameras. |

depends on camera and setting. this is from a "wildview" camera that i had set up to monitor the property. caught a poacher trespassing, truck drove past about 50 feet from the camera. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c183/J75player/stuff/SUNP0049.jpg i have a stealth came that has activated on movment further away. I saw your pictures in the other thread. I saw in the one pic, the guy walked right in front of the camera. Did you find any indication that he saw it, such as doubling back to check it out? The one I found out there was a big green box, it seems like it would be fairly obvious to me if I came close to it. If they're posted in the thick stuff I might miss it though. |
