Look what I scored today.............
I bought this from a older woman for $650 brand new and has never been used. Briggs and Stratton Generac 7000 with accesory package. This is my first generator is it a ok model? She showed me a reciept from home depot for $1200 when she bought it new.

usually whats printed on the side is the MAX laod. i'll see what i can find out. stand by.

looks like it IS 7000 w and 12250 surge from what im see on the web.

I've got the exact same generator. I found it on Craigslist for $850. After talking with the seller, found out he lived across the street from my in-laws. Ended up he sold it to me for $500 because they were friends.

I would highly recommend this generator.

Good deal.

That thing will wake the dead! It is a thirsty beast too.

However, when you get into portable generators that big, unless you are willing to drop a few grand, the noise and fuel consumption will be there with pretty much any model.

I've got one just like it too !

Good generator, I keep a solar panel on the gel battery, and it still kicks at over 2 years old.
Burns .75 gallons per hr. ... I've used the hell out of it during hurricane season here ( HOU area ).
Faithful piece of equipment, I put it on synthetic oil ... No problems, starts fast, runs smooth, however it is LOUD.

It's little brother backup is a 3500 watt powermate with the Subaru engine.... ( which burns .35 gph )

I gave 1150 ( with 8.25% tax ) for mine a few years ago still happy with it.
I'd say you got a great deal.
