Long story short, been working out of town for weeks on end and finally got my generator stolen out of the back of the truck. Company is paying to replace it and I want yalls opinion on this generator I found at Sams. Honda from sams

I am on my phone so I hope this link works for yall.

I couldn't get a price by linking to my local stores so have no idea if it's a good deal or not. If your company is paying and they let you, get a real Honda genny.

I really wish they would but the generator that was stolen was only worth around $700. It's going to have to be close in value and a $1600 generator is not feasible.

Do you really have to ha e 7000 watts?

It's used to run some pretty heavy saws, pumps, and industrial stuff. The one that got stolen was a 5500 watt brigs and it worked but the my RV would throw a breaker if the A/C popped on.

I'd be happy with the Sam's Honda. Time to buy a big ass chain, too.

Honda generators are best imho.

But if possible diesels are an option and I like the small wacker 7000 watt.  They are kinda big but very reliable.

The description lists 78dB   That's worse than any of the Chinese ones I've seen.

If it's 100% Honda then it's a quality product, but a 7KW generator burns a lot of fuel, and this one makes a lot of noise. I'd assess your needs carefully before buying it.

It's not a Honda.

It's a Honda engine, mated to a Chinese-made alternator.

78 dB is REALLY loud for a generator. Maybe that's a typo?

I have been around a lot of generators for work and honestly, they are all loud. The only ones that are what I would call quiet are the true Hondas but again, a $1600-$2400 generator is out of the question. I really wish I could get one but it just ain't going to happen.
