Here in NE a spring turkey permit is $24.00 + $16.00 for a "habitat stamp". You only have to buy one "habitat stamp" per year and it's good for hunting anything but you have to have it to hunt anything. There are TONS of Turkies here so a few years ago they made it so that you could shoot two bearded Turkeys in the spring. You have to buy a $24.00 tag for each one. This year you can shoot up to 3...if you buy 3 $24.00 tags.

What does it cost to hunt Turkey where you live? Are you required to purchase a special license or is it part of your general hunting license?

Spring Turkey = $15 tag + $4 application.  If you just buy the guaranteed tag, there is no application fee.  We do it on a lottery here, not over the counter.

I'm just about turkeyed out though.  I've got a lot of big dead birds under my belt, and don't much care for the meat of the wild ones anymore.

Nebraska is just in the business of raping folks for every last penny. What they do with all the money is beyond me.

In Kentucky, the resident annual hunting license is $20 and the spring turkey tag is $30 which is good for 2 birds with visible beards.  The fall tag is another $30 tag but is good for 4   birds any sex or age.

We also have something called a Sportman's license for $95 which includes the combination hunting/fishing license, statewide deer permit, all spring and fall turkey permits, state waterfowl permit and trout permit.

It gets expensive but I do it all so just buy the combo license each year.
