Seriously that is some insane shit.  I don't have a D75, I have a couple of D74's.  I bought a backup battery from Batteries America awhile ago and I see that their's is still nuts but better - $51 I think.  $109 for an HT battery - that's just insanity.

I imagine those are commercial radios though?  I can see that - but man, the D75 is just plain overpriced.  When the D74 came out it was a lot but still worth the price - now it's just insane.  If they offered it with SSB I could see paying what they are asking for it, but $750?  Damn....

They are nice though…it does so much better than the id52a or the vx8 I have…

They need to fix the BT to modern BT. So that you can link your phone to it. And have a better battery life, and hopefully they fixed the charging circuit. I sold my d74, but I did like the open TNC and it was pretty easy menu to use.

If Icom would get their head out of their ass and just offer APRS, there would be a lot of happy people. I have a 705, but the lack of APRS irks me. I use a TNC4, but really I wish they would just implement APRS.
