| Thought this might be the place to ask,I have a general radiotelephone operator license and would like to know if it crosses over to any level of ham radio? |

Yeah, I have one of those too. I was testing for the GRT while trying for my Extra class long ago at the Atlanta FCC office. Got the GRT on the second try about 25 years ago. The 20 WPM code eluded me and I carried an Advanced license for a long time. At one time, you needed the general radiotelephone license to work on two way radio gear. That is why I got mine, then the FCC went and removed the requirement except for a few radio services. None of which I was interested in working on. As stated, all you need to learn is the rules and regulations to work your way up into amatuer radio.
